Current Role • Strategic Analyst at North York General Hospital (NYGH) • Program focus in the Department of Medicine. • Work collaboratively with staff, physicians and program leaders providing evidence based decision making by leveraging health information. • Relationships: • Know your client/know your business • Become a part of the clinical teams • Attend committee and project meetings • Research: • Literature review (remain current - NGM,JAMA,BMJ,) • Participate in productions of white papers and research projects. • Remain current on all thing HIM/DS (CIHI, UMNO, eCHIMA) • Development • Technical proficiencies in program languages (SQL,VB,DB2,etc.) • Using various reporting tools (CognosBI, Crystal, SAS) and mapping software (GIS) • Presentations, Executive Summaries, and Business Cases • Collaboration • Work with local and regional partners to develop and participate in standardize reporting and special projects • Work within the DS/HIM team to achieve internal goals and support broader corporate projects
