Cervical Cancer • DX: Pap Smear • Dr painlessly scrapes a few cells off the cervical wall for testing in the lab. • checks for changes in the cells of your cervix • TX: • Chemotherapy • Radiation • Surgery
Endometriosis • Condition in which the endometrium grows somewhere other than the uterus. • TX: • Hormone Therapy • Surgery
Toxic Shock Syndrome • Toxic shock syndrome (TSS) is a serious but uncommon bacterial infection. • Caused by a particular form of bacteria • This bacteria in naturally occurring • Increase your risk of getting TSS through use of tampons. • Symptoms: • Sudden high fever <104 • Vomiting • Rash • Diarrhea • Dizziness • Death
