Objective Students Will Be Able To: Analyze recognized works of American Literature representing a variety of genres and traditions. Students Will build a base of understanding through Cornell Notes and presentations on the foundation for American Literature.
Cornell Note Groups • 1- Create groups of 3 or 4 classmates • 2- Give yourselves a team name • 3- See Mr. Croft for your assigned section on Pages 6 through 19 of your Holt textbook.

What you are responsible for • 1- read your assigned section of the text. • 2-create an essential question for your section. • 3-take at least three notes that would help answer the essential question. • 4-write a short summary statement for your section.
Share You will share your expert information with the class via ELMO. You may ALL present or you may elect a presentation SPECIALIST. This should take no more than 2-3 minutes.
