How to proceed for BY PASS or OMISSION of calls in BASE PORTS using a FEEDER service This is the case when a vessel must cancel a BASE PORT call and in its replacement is nominated a FEEDER vessel that will export the cargo from the omitted port to another BASE PORTS changing the usual routing. In example consider the case of CC L’astrolabe 638 belonging to SEAS services that cancel the PUSAN regular call in order to recover schedule . So is nominated the feeder ZHAO QING HE 367 to export the cargo from PUSAN to SHANGAI , where will be finally transferred to CC L’astrolabe 638.
1- The responsible to inform loading and discharges of containers in MAIN system have the access to define and create feeders for exports. He must create the nominated FEEDER as usual to inform loading & discharge operations The ZHAO QING HE 367 was created in MAIN system using the Loading and Discharge TOOLS, The update to LINE database in order to be used for bookings can take around 12 hours
3- Click on Insert button to create the rows needed to define the new legs 2- Create the booking as usual in the SERVICE and MOTHER VESSEL that should be.Please note that steps 2 and on, will be done if you have a booking created. Note that ROUTING TAB page is empty because is defined as a direct service
4- Fill the fields describing the routing of the cargo . First leg using the nominated FEEDER already created in MAIN. Second leg connecting to the MOTHER VESSEL in this case CC L’Astrolabe 638 5- Complete the remaining data for that booking and save it.
