Imagemanipulation The « SeaShore » project
What is SeaShore? • SeaShore is an Open Source Image Editor for Mac that is similar to Paint.Net for PC and could be described as a much simpler version of Photoshop.
Why is it important? • SeaShore, like Photoshop, allows us to change the appearance of images so that they better reflect their intended purpose. • For example, school photos;
Composed images • Seashore, like Photoshop, can be used to create composed images. • Composed images are created using two or more images to create one. Here is an example.
Created images • Like composed images, but a little different. These are images created using a combination of images, options and effects in the editor program.
Today’stask • Using SeaShore, edit a plain image of yourself taken with the webcam so that only you are left in the image, no back ground or anything else. • Intent : to practice using the SeaShore program to prepare for our next task. • Criteria : you know you are done when you can show me your completed work and explain in your own words how you completed your task.
