Implementing curriculum • Developing meaningful Curriculum involves interactive decision making by children, parents and families, educators and the boarder community with the aim of fostering children's learning. • Curriculum decisions will be influenced by our beliefs and knowledge. • What are your beliefs? • Where do these beliefs come from? • What do you know and how far does your knowledge stretch?
Planning • From our knowledge we decide- • Content of the curriculum- what to teach, planning experiences, and learning. • How to set up the environment • What resources to choose • Particular programs or methods • What teaching strategies to use-individual, group, intentional teaching , playbased ,projects. • How to document learning
Learning Outcomes * The Early Learning Framework describes childhood as a time of belonging, Being, and Learning. Through the EYLF there are five learning goals educators will assist children to develop. There are 16 outcomes. • *A strong sense of identity • *connections to their world • *a strong sense of wellbeing • * confidence and involvement in their learning • *effective communication skills
Evidence of Learning • Educators collect evidence through – • *observation • * photographs and video • *children's art work • *learning Stories • *documentation • *interactions Japanese tea Party
Analysing and Assessing • Gather your information and to file it in a professional manner and keep information on hand for parents, reflecting, brainstorming, assessment , accreditation, and ongoing planning . • The following utube video will give you ideas on how to do this.................
Community • Be creative in the way you display information for parents and the community with regards to the frameworks- Wall poster Learning Outcome 2 & 5 –children make connections between experiences, concepts and processes and become effective communicators.
Conclusion • Reflect on your learning styles • What worked and what didn’t?. • What surprised you ? • What stood out? • What did you struggle with? • What did you enjoy? • Include reflective discussions with colleagues. • Be open to learning something new.
