1. SHPS ENRICHMENT ART CLASSES WITH INSTRUCTOR SAMANTHA McGILL Grades 1 and up SESSION I Mondays, Sept. 8 – 29 From: 4:00 – 5:00 PM Cost is $60.00 Class limited to 15 students. Bring a smock or extra shirt. Sept. 8: You Light Up My Life. Students make a tea-light holder out of clay. Sept. 15: Scratchy Art. A cool technique on glass where students scratch out art in paint. Sept. 22: Shrink-a-Dink-a-Doo Jewelry Part I. The old art of Shrink-a-Dink to make pendants, charms for a necklace, a ring or bracelet. Sept. 29:Shrink-a-Dink-a-Doo Jewelry Part II. Finish putting together the jewelry creations to wear! “Every child is an artist, the problem is, how to remain one.” –Picasso Come to our art class at Southern Highlands Prep School where children will play and interact with art. This program will teach children a variety of mediums in a fun, relaxed setting. From pencils to paintbrushes, and everything in between, your child will be challenged with each project to think outside the box! Registration: tear off and return to the school with payment.
