FORMATION • Formed after the Second World War in 1956 • In responseto the European refugee crises caused by the Sovietinvasion of Hungary
WHERE • Working in more than 30 countries around the world • Workingto ensure that no refugee must be in need of help to find protection and durable solutions
FOR WHOM? • Provides direct assistance to conflict-affected populations, internally displaced people(IDPs) • Advocates their rights internationally based on the Human Rights Declaration • Collects information that can assist IDPs
ACTIVITIES • Housing and small-scale infrastructure • Income generation through grant and micro-finance • Food security & agricultural rehabilitation and development
