Helpful Hints • Stubborn isn’t a good trait – even for a mule. • An apology can go a long way. • Play fair. • Be the Research Administrator that is needed for the job. • Be careful when setting a precedent. • Include details in your correspondence. • Find written policy when available. • Quote from source material such as OMB’s. If they won’t believe you…they’ll believe the Feds!
