Mountains A high landform with steep sides; higher than a hill. Mountains are found on land and on the ocean floor.
Plains Plains are flat lands that have little changes in elevation. The Great Plains are a large flat area of land.
Canyon It is a deep valley with steep sides, often carved from the Earth by a river.
Valley It is a low area between hills and mountains where a stream often flows.
