  3. 1.-LOCATION The plot is located in the town of cabrera, within the province of María Trinidad Sánchez in the north of the island.

  4. 2.- Relevan Details of Surrounding Area Geography Cabrera is located on the country’s north-east coast, a three and a half-hour bus ride from Santo Domingo, capital city of the Dominican Republic, to the east of Puerto Plata and west of Samaná and only 38 Km from the town of Nagua, administrative centre of the María Trinidad Sánchez Province. It borders on the town of Río San Juan to the west, Nagua to the south and the Atlantic Ocean to the north and east. This geographic territory has a total area of 276 km2. The political division of the municipality consists of Cabrera, common administrative centre with a population of 12,994, and the Municipal Districts of Arroyo Salado (population 7,253) and La Entrada (population 6,408). Other communities of interest are Baobah del Piñal, Abreu, Payita, Santa María, Mella, El Pujador, Caño Azul. It is the second most important town in the province. Its geographical coordinates are 19º 36´ N and 69º 53´ W Economy The main production categories are farming, fishing, agriculture and tourism. Tourism is experiencing a considerable boom owing to the constant arrival or foreign tourists who in many cases make investments in the municipality and become residents in the area. Cabrera is, together with Nagua, part of Tourist Area IX as per Decree No. 199-99 of May 4th, 1999, which additionally generates investment attraction in such an important sector of the national economy.
