Presentation by RongliGeng (JLab) at ILC/S0 Meeting 9 November 2010
TB9RI27 • RI27 1st test 43 MV/m quench limited, < 500 mR/h X-ray at highest field, mode mixing observed at > 31 MV/m. 2nd sound predicted quench in center cell. Re-test after warm up and fixed thermometry installation – event at > 41 MV/m followed by FE turn on and limited to 31 MV/m. • RI27 re-test after re-HPR 3X (partial dis-assm), performance recovered somewhat and meets ILC vertical test spec. still strong FE limited. Pi-mode frequency at 2K under vacuum 1299.824 MHz (target 1299.700); Pi mode FF 97.7% prior to final EP. • Cavity already shipped back to FNAL.
Additional Q/A with answers provided 10.Nov.2010 by GrigoryErimeev • Were the Q vs. E data shown on slide 2, top right corner, taken with mode mixing present? Or did you observe mode mixing in this gradient region which affected the Q0, and these data were taken quickly enough not to see the effect on Q0, or?? • The data shown was taken quickly before a spurious mode appeared on the spectrum analyzer. • Is it correct that the final (Test 2) x-ray dose rate for the TB9RI027 is not shown in the plots? What does the distribution look like? • It is correct: the dose rate in the final test for the TB9RI027 is not shown in the plots. The distribution looks like a usual exponential dependence. The onset is ~ 15 MV/m. The highest radiation is 7 R/h at 35 MV/m. • Is it correct that the limiting cell is #5? • That is not correct for the last test. • This is preliminary: I am still working on the data.
