Meditation: Benefits • Buddhists believe that meditation can: • Reduce stress • Increase our ability to concentrate • Increase our quality of life (ie makes us happier) • AND • Better understand the true nature of reality • Accept the true nature of reality • Be more compassionate towards others

  5. Meditation: Drawbacks • 30-40 minutes a day difficult to find in a busy schedule • Meditation can be a long term process so often you don’t get instant results • You need a teacher to help you get started • Finding somewhere to meditate can sometimes be difficult
