A Good Samaritan with a concealed carry permit shot a man who was attacking a Lee County, Florida deputy on the I-75 off-ramp.

That’s when the citizen pulled out his gun,” said Smith. It is unclear if that person was a Good Samaritan or an off-duty officer, but whatever the case, the shooter undoubtedly saved the life of the deputy who was attacked. After the shooting, the deputy was rushed to the hospital, but he is expected to recover.
