Developing Higher Apprenticeships in England:Policy Paper • Strong correlation between this paper and the recommendations from UVAC's report Progression from Vocational and Applied Learning to Higher Education in England   • The paper had very positive responses. Amongst them from Construction Skills • Resulting in a plan to develop a framework for apprenticeships which includes a Foundation Degree • The outcome will be a jointly developed framework/Foundation Degree by several universities but validated separately • Development group will comprise: Universities, employers Colleges, Construction Skills, LLNs and coordinated by UVAC • Development is financed by the LLNs and will completed by July 2011 • The model is transferable to other sectors    Jill Ward 2010
