About….. • ScanBalt BioRegion is the brand name of the meta-region • ScanBalt focus on Life Sciences and biotech as a heaver to achieve its goals. • ScanBalt is a not for profit association with a vision to shape a globally competetive, sustainable meta-region in a triple helix format [academia (incl. hospitals), public authorities and private companies] • ScanBalt is based on a ”bottom up” approach
The purpose • ScanBalt will promote knowledge formation, education and research, within biotech and life sciences, to shape a world class, competitive life sciences/biotech-industrial meta-bioregion for the benefit of all ScanBalt inhabitants. • ScanBalt will reinforce both goals related to economical development and goals related to human resources and environment. • ScanBalt will also be a forum for discussion on biotech-society impact.
Network of networks • The metafor network of networks entails the task of coordination of existing networks and organisations as well as stimulating the founding of new ones. • It does not exclude membership by single universities, hospitals, companies or persons.
