  5. Computers fascinate all kids regardless of social status. children develop self-confidence and self-esteem as they master computer skills to make things happen.

  6. Computers help children develop their analytical and creative skills

  7. Children learn to work with one or two partners which leads to the development of their social skills.

  8. Clubs help communities start up Community Learning Centers with computers, learning materials donations and subsidies and training of instruction managers and technical support staff.

  9. LOCAL GOV’T UNIT • Provides the land & facilities for Community Information Centers (CICs), • Operations and Maintain CIC’s, • Provide instructors from the community to be trained by DepEd for assistance in Literacy Mapping and implementing ALS learning programs. • ROTARY • Provides computer sets and assistance in securing software, reference materials and assistant learning instructors, • Assist in literacy mapping, • Assist monitoring & Evaluation • DEPED • Provides classroom facilities for Computer labs in schools, • Coordinate w/ LGUs for E-Learning Programs at CIC’s • ALS teachers, modules, teacher training, • Enrollment of Targeted learners, ie. OSY and Adults, • Overall supervision of ALS and A&E Programs of DepEd in the community.

  10. The modules were sourced from the Sandiwaan Learning Center, another e-learning facility created in the former Smokey Mountain garbage dump site in Manila.

  12. EXPANDING QUALITY EDUCATION FOR THE POOR • Tie up with INSTITUTE OF NON FORMAL EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM OF USJR for Mentoring and Vocational Training. • Tie up with other institutions for livelihood training

  13. EXPANDING REACH OF ALS EDUCATION FOR THE POOR • Provide E-Learning facilities for MOBILE ALS TEACHERS PROGRAM of the Dept. of Education Bureau of ALS
