  1. Characterization Pyramid of Sawada Tsunayoshi

  2. Appearance • Tsuna is 157 cm tall and he weighs 48 kg. He has spiky, brown hair and dark brown eyes. He is thin and a bit short. The clothing he wears often has the number 27 on it. When he goes into his dying will mode his clothes would be torn and he will only be wearing boxers.

  3. Actions • At first, Tsuna was very cowardly. He got bad grades and always gave up. He is scared even of a Chihuahua, but when Reborn shoots him with a dying will bullet, his strength will be increased to accomplish his dying will. Later on, he becomes a responsible and great boss that leads and protects his family. He fought against a lot of enemies, but he was also hesitant and never killed anyone.

  4. Thinks • At first he thought he was useless and he won’t be able to accomplish anything. He has a secret crush on Sasagawa Kyoko but he is afraid to confess to her. He doesn’t like to see people hurt. He really wants to be able to live peacefully and happily with his friends. He values the lives of his comrades over everything. Tsuna does not regret his cursed fate that brought him a lot of danger and suffering, instead he is grateful for the comrades and laughter that is brought with it too.

Says • When his right-hand man Gokudera tried to sacrifice himself to defeat an enemy, he shouted and told him that they are fighting so they can live peacefully again, but if he dies than everything will be meaningless! He often says he want to protect his family when he strengthens his resolve. Tsuna also said he fight only to protect his friends, and he have no intention of using his power for any other reason.

  6. What Others Think About Him • At first, everybody thought he was useless and called him “No-Good Tsuna”. He was lonely, but after Reborn became his tutor he had more comrades with him and now everybody thinks he is a reliable and great boss. Gokudera admires the boss a lot because he is the first person that opened up to him. Haru Mira is madly in love with Tsuna because he once protected her. Yuni thinks that Tsuna is special because he hates fighting. Reborn thinks he is an excellent student and a capable boss.

  7. Tsuna's Conflicts and Motivation

  8. What are Tsuna's Major Problems? • Tsuna has to become the 10th generation mafia boss of Vongola evenif he hates fighting. What’s worse is, during this path he faces a lot of enemies who challenges him, tries to take his position as the boss, and hurts his family. According to the storyline, his first enemy was RukudoMukuro who tries to take control of Tsuna’s body with a special bullet. The second enemy was Xanxus who challenges him to his throne. The third enemy was Byakuran who has power of sharing the knowledge between parallel worlds.

  9. How does Tsuna deal with these Problems? • He defeated all the enemies with the help of his family and his resolve to protect them. He went through training with a lot of people including Reborn, Hibari, etc. He also accepted Mukuro and Xanxus and allowed them to become part of the Vongola Family after their defeat.

  10. What are Tsuna's Motivations? • Tsuna wants to be able to protect and live peacefully with his family, not to become an evil mafia boss and kill lots of people, and this is why he fights. Tsuna is very strong, but he doesn't want to use his strength to kill, conquer, and follow the sins of Vongola. He says he will destroy the Vongola if he was forced to do it, because it might bring danger to his family.
