  4. HOW WERE THEY RECEIVED? • Centurion (Mt. 8:10,13) • John the Baptist (Lk. 7:28) • Peter (Lk. 5:10) • Some men the world wasn’t worthy of (Heb. 11:38) • Moses • Isaiah (Is. 6:6-7) • The sinful son (Lk. 15:20-24)

  5. HUMILITY IS A GOOD SIGN • Lk. 18:13-14 • II Cor. 13:5 • What about those who simply assume that God is pleased with them?

  6. BEING WORTHY IS OUR GOAL • Eph. 4:1 • Phil. 1:27 • Col. 1:10 • I Thes. 2:12 • Can be achieved – Rev. 3:4

  7. SAVED BY GRACE • Remember the source of our confidence…it isn’t you! • Jesus is good enough. Our confidence should be in Him (Heb. 4:15; 10:10-14) • II Cor. 3:4-5 • Eph. 2:1-10 • I Pet. 5:10 – God’s work on us

  8. SOME CORRECTLY FEEL UNWORTHY • Matthew 10:37-38 • Some people should feel worried. • Are you one of them?

  9. CONCLUSION • Remember the value God has put on you. • “For God so loved the world…” (John 3:16) • Have you answered God’s call?
