Line • A line is a mark made by a moving point. • It can have psychological impact according to its direction, weight.
Vertical lines give a lofty or spiritual feeling.
Horizontal lines can suggest that something is stable or restful.

Texture • An element of art which refers to the surface quality or "feel" of an object, its smoothness, roughness, softness, etc. Textures may be actual (real) or simulated (made to look real).

Color • Color is one of the most powerful of elements. It has tremendous expressive qualities.

How something feels is the element of texture. • It can be real (like fur or feathers) • or it can look real (a painting of feathers).
