Preparing for Consecration Sunday Preparing for 2007 CRC
Last Sunday We considered bringing as described in Deut. 12:11: “Then to the place the Lord your God will choose as a dwelling for his Name-there you are to bring everything I command you: your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your tithes and special gifts, and all the choice possessions you have vowed to the Lord.”
Last Sunday We ended up with asking everyone to do a Review of what you have brought to our church - your gifts of time, talents, hospitality and finances - that you offer as you participate in this church’s ministry. We hope you were able to do that and offer a prayer of thanksgiving to God for how He has blessed and enabled you.
Reflect: Changes From now until next Sunday, we ask you to Reflect on the changes in your life: • An addition or loss to your family • A promotion or a lay-off • A serious accident or health setback • A business downturn or success • Budgeting for Christian education • Unexpected repairs - car/home
Reflect: God’s Faithfulness What’s your experience? Is it true that God is faithful through the good and the bad? God is consistent - He cares for you. The apostle Paul said: “Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase the store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.” 2Cor. 9:10
Reflect: God’s Faithfulness God promises to provide for what you need, not necessarily what you want. He has a purpose in mind for you and is ready to provide you with more according to His purpose! “Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase the store of seed andwill enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.” 2Cor. 9:10
Reflect: God’s Faithfulness Take time to Reflect with your spouse (if you have one) and offer a song and a prayer of praise - God is faithful!
