  2. Kingdom First Giving • Priority – right priorities! • 1st Commandment: God first!

  3. Kingdom First Giving • When God is first in your life - you can’t go wrong! • God wants to be 1st! • Giving also!

  4. Kingdom First Giving • Giving is worship • Giving is thanks to God • Repent if God is put in second place!

  5. Kingdom First Giving • At Maranatha, once a year it is “Consecration Sunday” • Make a commitment for God’s Kingdom work: at Maranatha and via ministry shares.

  6. Kingdom First Giving • Oct. 26 is Consecration Sunday. • To prepare, take some time this week to: • Review your giving: time, talents, use of home, possessions and money for the Kingdom • Review your financial giving • and offer a prayer of thanksgiving: God enables your giving!

  7. Kingdom First Giving • To Prepare: • Reflect on the things that have happened in your life in the past year: good times and the difficult • Reflect on God’s faithfulness. • Your prayerful review and reflection will help you in planning what you intend to do for next year – with God’s help.

  9. Kingdom First Giving Last week: • Review: giving of time, talents, home and finances for the work of the church and God’s Kingdom. • Reflection: God’s faithfulness

  10. Kingdom First Giving • This exercise helps you make plans for the future. • God blesses those who are committed to Him. • Our giving back to Him - acknowledges our gratitude to Him.

  11. Kingdom First Giving A lesson from the parable of the talents: • God expects us to make plans and to be busy in His Kingdom • God provides the talents, blesses our efforts and expects results.

  12. Kingdom First Giving • Next week is Consecration Sunday. • Complete the Card in your mailbox • Participate in a special offering next Sunday - to lay your plans before the Lord.

  13. Kingdom First Giving • This week, please make it a matter of dialogue and prayer with your spouse - if you are married • May God bless you as you consider what you plan to commit for 2009.
