  1. SDRs Associated with Nuclear Weapon Related Materiel (NWRM)

  2. PDC Under DevelopmentPDC 336 • PDC 336, Revised Business Rules for NWRM SDRs • OSD Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (AT&L) memorandum dated October 16, 2008, subject: Nuclear Weapon Related Materiel (NWRM) updates policy for improved management of NWRM: • NWRM. For the purpose of accountable inventory controls, NWRM is defined as classified or unclassified assemblies and subassemblies (containing no fissionable or fusionable material) identified by the Military Departments that comprise or could comprise a standardized war reserve nuclear weapon (including equivalent training devices) as it would exist once separated/removed from its intended delivery vehicle. • NWRM material is identified by ……………..(awaiting determination)

  3. PDC Under DevelopmentPDC 366 • Specific guidance for controlled/sensitive items inclusive of NWRM • Item Unique Identification (IUID): Procedures for controlled/sensitive items (expedited reporting & response) applied to missing IUID or mismatches of the unique item identifier (UII)/serial number between the item received and the shipment documentation/receiving report • The 24 hr reporting time standard for receipt of controlled/sensitive items by Security Assistance customers (wrong item and misdirected shipments) expanded to include shortage, overage, and UII/serial number missing/mismatched

  4. PDC Under DevelopmentPDC 366 • New 24 hr response time standard for controlled/sensitive items • Interim response allowed (not system triggered automated acknowledgement), with full response with 15 days • Clarification of the responsibility for DoD supply sources to provide financial resolution to SA customers with validated controlled/sensitive item discrepancies which fall below the minimum dollar criteria specified by Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) guidance

  5. PDC Under DevelopmentPDC 336 • Discrepant Controlled/Sensitive Inventory Items. For the purposes of expedited processing and management controls related to supply discrepancies, this includes stock number materiel with a catalogued Controlled Inventory Item Code (CIIC) indicating the item is identified as classified or sensitive, inclusive of nuclear weapon related material (NWRM). In addition arms, ammunition, and explosives (AA&E) identified as pilferable are also included in this category. Applicable CIIC values are: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, K L, O, S, T, 7, 9, I, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, Q, R, $, N, P. Non-stocked numbered material with characteristics consistent with applicable CIIC values are to be included in this category. Report discrepancies within 24 hours of discovery for shortage, overage, wrong item, misdirected shipment and unique item identification (UII)/serial number missing or mismatched. Wrong item discrepancies are applicable where either the requisitioned item or the item received is a controlled/sensitive inventory item.
