Manage with Certainty Rules of Engagement • Start and End on Time (includes breaks and lunch) as much as possible. • Give headlines unless asked for more information. • One conversation at a time. • Don’t beat a dead-horse to death – disengage when point is made. • Respect each other as professionals – assume that everyone’s comments are directed to moving the NQA forward. Assume also that no one in the room is perfect – including you! • Seek consensus, not unanimity. • Participate – your unwillingness to candidly share ideas/opinions inside meetings/sessions/workshops, indicates your tacit agreement with decisions reached during the meeting. Don’t waste everyone’s time by not voicing your opinions, concerns, or support
Manage with Certainty Aerospace Sector • AS9104/1 - Requirements for Aviation, Space, and Defense Quality Management System Certification Programs – rejected at final ballot due to man days • The draft (for which all UK CB’s rewrote their procedures and issued to UKAS) advises significant changes for clients and assessors such as:- • 8 hour auditing day • This does not include planning, report writing, and/or completion of the associated 9101 checklist & standard forms (appendices) • Only CAR’s (NC’s) to be issued at time of audit • Auditing of the entire AQMS standard on all shifts is required for initial and recertification audits. • Surveillance audits all shifts have to be audited though these can be sampled
Manage with Certainty Aerospace Sector • NC’s to be closed out to root cause within 60 days (minor or major). • Therefore special visits could be required to close out minor NC’s • Audit team leader limited to a maximum of two consecutive certification cycles • Table times advised(may be revised) are minimum times - if shifts are included the times would increase. • IAQG Supplemental Rule re issued on 18th May 2010 (copy supplied) • CB’s wont be required to be accredited to 9104/1 by UKAS prior to upgrade. Will need to provide plan by Jan 1st 2011 to UKAS • Assessors will be required to have completed and passed the Rev C transition training and be upgraded on OASIS prior to an upgrade assessment taking place • Refer to OASIS for transition schedule

Manage with Certainty Aerospace Sector • Organizations seeking certification to the 9100/9110/9120:2009 AQMS standards • Organizations must formally declare to their CB conformance to 9100/9110/9120:2009 prior to the CB conducting 9100/9110/9120:2009 audits. • Organizations that have not been certified to the 9100/9110/9120:2009 AQMS standard by 1 July 2012 shall have their certificate withdrawn from OASIS. • It is critical to maximise client retention as clients with little A/S related work may decide to drop the scheme?
