  5. CERN Drawing Directory - CDD - CERN EST/ISS INTRODUCTION 3 INTERFACE & FILES A limited interface exists using Oracle Forms Main interface is WWW HPGL format used for drawing plot files

CERN Drawing Directory - CDD - CERN EST/ISS BASIC NOTIONS 1 NUMBERING SCHEMES Drawings are numbered following conventions • Drawing system notion • CDD supports several drawing systems : • EST/LHC : 12 char LHCXDEMA0001 • LHC Exp : 12 char ATLXELMX0001 • SL-PO : 12 char LHCEBD__2000 • ST-CV : 12 char LHCW31830001 • ST-CE : 16 char LHC-BIS100401018 • OldSPS & LEP systems are still available

CERN Drawing Directory - CDD - CERN EST/ISS BASIC NOTIONS 9 DRAWINGS FROM OUTSIDE CERN • Can follow the CERN standards • HPGL files recommended • Institute number can be used • registered as “external reference” information • retrieval based on this number is possible • Special stamp can be defined • added during the archiving process • require a blank zone in each drawing • indicates CDD information (CDD number…) • Upload feature helps for file transfer • drawing by drawing • ftp recommended if too many drawings (!)
