CCP4 has an booth #604 in the exhibition area • Come and see us for manuals, demonstrations of software, or a friendly chat  • Opportunities to talk to the people at the workshop • Follow-up for this workshop • Please fill in and return the questionnaires in the CCP4 packs • If you have anything missing from the packs or want copies of the slides please let us know • Materials will be posted on the web shortly after the conference

  3. Take home points from Peter • Binary installations for fast start up • Add project, crystal and dataset information in MTZ and switch on data harvesting • Use ccp4bb • caveat that some people may not feel free to give their opinions e.g. on hardware

  4. Take home points from Johan’s talk … • Interface keeps you sane (project management) • Many programs plus utilities (all the little tasks you need to do) • Easy to switch to other programs/program suites and back

  5. Take home points from Harry’s talk • Harry says: “I’ve already said too much” • So I say: • Collect the best data possible (no software can rescue bad data) • Check logfile output and graphs for indications of things going wrong (and advice on how to fix) • Always use SEPARATE CLOSE in MOSFLM • Sometimes you have to be brave and throw away poor data

  6. My take home points from Roberto’s talk • It’s always worth trying TLS (nothing to lose) • Use good starting descriptions on starting material for ligand descriptions • Try to understand the output and read literature
