Summary: Construction • February 2012: Close-out • BP#9—Mehring Way guardrail installation complete. • BP#11—Outstanding punch list items being addressed. • All that’s left is the paperwork! • Public Safety Technologies work ramping up • BP#12—Contract awarded to ESI; work already underway
Bid Package #12 Street Grid/Pedestrian Improvements Design • Pedestrian walkway and street improvements planned • Part 2 of BP#12 to be bid Fall 2012—sidewalk upstream side of Roebling Bridge, pedestrian bring over Pete Rose Way, construction of Ohio River Trail segment • Part 1 of BP#12 to be bid Spring 2013—widening of Second Street sidewalk, removal of Race Street Bridge, reconstruction of portion of Freedom Way, completion of Public Safety technology

Summary: Developer • Carter-Dawson: • Phase 1a residential is 99% leased • Retail is 80% leased
Developer’s Leasing Activity • Holy Grail, Johnny Rockets, Toby Keith, and Police Welcome Center open and operating. • The Tin Roof and Crave are finalizing permits and preparing to start construction. • Mahogany’s lease is executed; project is in design phase. • Lease executed with The Wine Guy; design is underway. • Ruth’s Chris is designing their space; construction anticipated to begin second quarter 2012.
Summary: Economic Inclusion • The Project maintained the 36% SBE participation commitment (goal for Construction is 30%) as of 1/25/12. • SBE: 36% • MBE: 15.9% • WBE: 2.8% • Professional Services (SBE goal is 10%) • SBE: 8.1%
Economic Inclusion f Bid Packages #5, #6, and #7 are closed out. Substantial work was completed this month by the DBE contractors on Bid Packages #9 & #11; final billings are projected to meet ODOT goals. Economic Inclusion • Combined Minority/Female Workforce participation is 17.44% as of 1/25/12. • Minority Workforce (female and male) is 16.14% • For the one-month period ending 1/25/12, a total of 89.3% of workers lived within the 15-County Cincinnati-Middletown MSA • Local residency analysis 1,406 workers (through 12/25/11) • Tri-State 97.7% • Cincinnati-Middletown MSA 77% • Hamilton County 25.5% • City of Cincinnati 9.2% • There are no local residency participation goals.
Summary: Safety • The Project has logged over 416,000 hours worked without a lost-time accident for both Public Parties construction phases through Bid Package #11.
Cincinnati Parks • Phase 1 Walnut Street Fountain and Grand Stairway to open in early Spring. • Bike Center design completed in February; scheduled to open in early Spring. • Schmidlapp Event Lawn and Stage canopy will be completed late March. • Work at Smale Riverfront Park Phase 3 continued. • Moerlein Lager House opened 2/27/12.
