State Implementation Status Currently, there are approximately267,000 Category 1 student records with at least demographic information across all grades.
Recent MSIX Accomplishments • Maintained over 99% Production availability for MSIX • Supported 4 states to provide Phase II (Assessment) data – Hawaii, Iowa, Georgia, New Mexico • Supported 6states to provide Phase III (Course History) data – Hawaii, Iowa, California, Georgia, New Mexico, Oklahoma • Ingested REACTS data into MSIX website • Enhanced MSIX Consolidated Migrant Student Record • Deployed 4functional releases, addressing 33enhancement requests and incidents • Presented at NASDME and ESCORT ID&R Conferences • Conducted 3 end-user webinars (2 via REACTS)(Missed Enrollment and Grade Retention Reports) • MSIX NPRM was published on December 27, 2013

Effective Recruiting Practices (cont’d) • Only specific user roles have access to student search functionality • Primary Users • Secondary Users • Data Administrators • Some basic information must be provided for each search • Student Name (First, Middle, or Last) • MSIX ID • State Student ID • Searches can be “Partial” or “Exact” • Partial searches include a “Wild Card” at the end of each search string • A Partial search for “Juan” can yield results such as “Juan”, “Juanita”, and “Juana” • Exact searches only search for the text specified • An Exact search for “Juan” will only yield results of “Juan”
