  2. The Need for Farm Safety Education in PA • PA Farm Bureau doesn’t have a farm safety program. • Some of the highest numbers of fatal occupational injuries in agriculture, forestry, and fishing.   3. Why 4-H State Days? • Teens are one of the most affected age groups • Agricultural background • Out of school • Working at home on the farm during the summer

  4. Objectives of GET SAFE! • As a result of this media campaign 25% of the audience will be able to: 1. Identify five common safety hazards on the farm. 2. Apply three safety rules for operating farm machinery. 3. Prepare and implement their own farm safety plan.
