EMC Social Media Syndication Overlay/Welcome Page • Upon logging in to the platform, you will be taken your Home Page. Navigate to the Dashboard Screen or click on the link to one of the social streams.
EMC Social Media Syndication “Select a Social Stream” Screen • On this page, you will be able to select what Social Stream you wish to activate. Currently, there is an Industry and EMC News stream and three Campaign-specific streams. You are free to select any one or run them concurrently. We recommend that you activate them all so that you are aware of the different content from each stream. • Upon selecting a stream, click the “Create New” link to continue.

EMC Social Media Syndication Set up Social Stream • Once a stream is selected, you will now have the opportunity to set several settings for the stream • Connect your social media accounts with the social stream • Click on the appropriate Icon andlog in to your social media accounts • Identify the topics you want to share with your followers/connections/friends and select whether you would prefer the posts automatically published or require your approval prior to being released. • Click “Activate” when the settings are complete
EMC Social Media Syndication My Activities Tab- Activating & Managing Social Streams • After you have selected, renamed and activated your Social Stream, you will access the “My Activities” page. This page will list all current marketing campaigns/activities that are currently active in your account. • To access and view the Social Stream that you have just set up, click on the appropriate stream. • You can filter by Activity type to see only the social streams you have active.
EMC Social Media Syndication Social Stream Maintenance • The Stream maintenance screen will look a lot like the setup page. You will be able to edit your stream as you see fit on this page (ie. Adding/removing topics, editing social posts, etc) • A couple things to notice on this page: • The list of upcoming posts will give you the opportunity to review posts prior to release • You will be able to toggle between post history or upcoming posts. • Each post will identify what social media platform it will post too with icons for each platform • You have the option to edit/discard/reschedule posts and view any links embedded in the post. • Posts that require approval will have an “Accept” link that will need to be clicked prior to the scheduled release. • Posts that are set to Auto Publish will be posted automatically at the scheduled time • Link to view “Social Stats” to track effectiveness is in the top right corner.
EMC Social Media Syndication Editing a Social Post • Should you decide to edit a post that has been provided for you. You can do this by selecting the “Edit” link within the post. • Once you click the “Edit” link, the Edit Post pop-up will appear and you will be able to edit as you see fit. • You can edit the content of the post, the link provided if applicable and the date/time the post will be released. • Be sure to click the save button after any changes are made.
EMC Social Media Syndication Social Analytics • To track the effectiveness of your Social Media Streams, click the “Social Stats” option. • This page will allow you to track the number of posts released, clicks, followers, comments, shares/retweets, etc. • You will also be able to view your Top 5 Best and Worst posts that have been released. You will also be able to specify which streams to track, which networks and timeframe.
EMC Social Media Syndication Edit Your Profile in the Settings Tab • Your hashtag and website url will be automatically placed in some of the syndicated posts. You will need to edit your profile in your settings tab so that your hashtag and website url are what you want them to be. • Navigate to the Settings tab and select the Profile sub-tab. Enter your hashtag or user name and your website url.
