Grading Procedures Grades will be assigned to the following categories: • Classwork/Homework 20% • Independent Reading 15% • Projects 30% • Quizzes/Tests 35%
Absences • Check my website for assignments for the week • You can pick up work at the front desk for any work missed. • Call Mrs. DeLisa at the attendance desk 564-3511
Tardiness • I expect students to enter class on time. I understand that there are circumstances that arise, that is why students are given 3 free tardies each quarter. After 3, I usually assign a lunch detention first, then after-school detention.
Parent Involvement • Read notes and assignments that are recorded in your student’s agenda. • Monitor progress during units by checking your student’s work. • Encourage and support homework and assignments. • Talk with your student on a regular basis about what he/she is learning. • Create an atmosphere at home where your student has a designated study space and study time. • Offer help with homework or make sure your student asks for help before or after school.
