  6. Structure We adapted the Common Core Curriculum to meet our needs. Shaded areas are areas of change.

  7. Introduce Introduce : Anything in the introduce section is there because your students will see questions on this topic on the ITBS. Do before ITBS.

  8. Maintain Maintain: Please maintain all skills. Skills listed are important for future curriculum and/or ITBS. Do before ITBS.

  9. Vocabulary Please emphasize vocabulary. Word Walls. etc

  10. Grades 3-4 Diocesan Implementation Throughout the school year, as you teach each skill, please record the date you teach it. Pacing Charts have recommended Quarter. These suggestions are based on the pilot schools feedback.

  11. Why Change What is the difference?? Practices We need to change our way of teaching --- questioning---testing. We want children who can reason.
