  1. Benny CardSimple. Convenient. Automatic.

  2. How Does It Work? • Card uses merchant category codes to determine eligible providers. • Only works at health care-related merchants or providers. • At retailers and discount stores, the card can only be used for pharmacy-filled prescriptions.

  3. Benny’s Your Buddy! • A faster and easier way to access your Medical Expense Account.

  4. Benny -- Your Card for Better Benefits • Benny makes accessing your FSA funds: • Convenient: Fewer forms to fill out. • Automatic: Funds are immediately transferred from your FSA at the time you incur the expense. • Easy: A simple swipe of the card makes it hassle-free! • Simple to track: Your current balance is available 24/7 at www.bshi.net • It improves your cash flow – you don’t have to lay out cash at the time of purchase.

  5. Using the Benny Card at the Pharmacy • When you’re at the pharmacy, your card will accept only pharmacy-filled prescriptions.

  6. Using Your Benny Card at Other Providers • When using the card in a non-pharmacy setting (doctor’s office, optical shop, etc.), your card swipe will be matched against copayment information.

  7. Keep Your Receipts • Make sure you keep all of your receipts. • If your transaction does not match the copayment amount, you will need to turn in your documentation. • If your documentation is not received, your Benny Card will be de-activated.

  8. Here’s Why Benny is Better: Jane elects $1,200 in the Medical Expense Account. She goes to Longs Drugs to purchase her prescription drugs.

  9. How Does it Work? • For mail order pharmacy purchases, write the Benny Card number on the order form. • When the provider sends you a bill instead of charging at the time of service, simply write your Benny Card number on your statement and send it back to the provider. • If a provider doesn’t accept MasterCard, submit a manual claim

  10. Benny’s Helpful Hints

  11. You will receive two Benny Cards in the mail. • Activate the cards by either: • Calling the phone number on the activation sticker (and following the instructions), or • Log on to www.bshi.net. • Wait two days before using your card. Read all inserts -- they have important information!

  12. Benny will work only at eligible merchants: • Health care-related establishments like the doctor’s office, hospital, dentist’s office, or optical provider. • Pharmacy-filled prescriptions only at retail stores. • Providers that accept MasterCard.

  13. If asked to select “debit” or “credit,” select “credit.” • Make sure you have enough funds in your account before using the card. Log on to our Web site at www.bshi.net to check your account balance.

  14. Use your card to pay for prescriptions for your dependents only if covered under your drug plan • Use another form of payment if dependents are covered under another drug plan

  15. Make sure you save your receipts. We will ask you to verify an expense if the transaction doesn’t match the copayment information. • Call us right away if your card is lost or stolen. A replacement card is $10.

  16. Why Didn’t it Work? • Your card has not been activated. • You don’t have enough funds to cover the expense. • The store doesn’t accept MasterCard. • Merchant is having problems with their card terminal. • Merchant is not a health-care related merchant. • At the pharmacy, you’re including other items. • You pressed “debit” instead of “credit” on the terminal.
