  2. Facts! He was born on May30, 1909 and he died on June 13, 1986. He was a American Jazz Musician , Clarinetist and the bandleader and the “King of Swing”. They also called him the “Patriarch of the Clarinetist”, “The Professor”, and” Swing’s Senior Statesman”.

  3. Facts About Benny Goodman His parents were named David Goodman ,and Dora ( Grisinsky) Goodman. He had a wife named Alice Hammond Duckworth. They got married on March 1942.

  4. Benny Goodman • Benny Goodman Played in a Pollack’s Band for the next 4 years. • He was only ten years old when he got into the Clarinet. • By the 1934 he was seasoned enough to be ready for his first break. • People said for a kid who liked Jazz Chicago was a great big state to grow up in.
