About Benny Andersson Benny Anderson was born in 1946 In Stockholm, Sweden. His grandfather and his father were musicians he was introduced to the accordion when he was just a little boy. When Benny left high school he was invited to join a popular band called “The Hep Stars”. While Benny was touring with the “Hep stars” he met a songwriter whose name was Björn Ulvaeus. After the break up of the “Hep Stars” Andersson and Ulvaeus released their own LP. After this Andersson became famous with the moniker band ABBA (which stood for the letters of everyone's first names in the band) he co-produced the bands entire output as well as touring the world.
