Central Intelligence Agency, 9 Aug. 2013 Web. 29 Aug. 2013.
Multiple Citings in a Slide/Paragraph with Sources with No Authors • EXAMPLE 2 - Slide with more than one source (w/no author) • In the example below, the student has presented information found using ABC-CLIO and the CIA World Factbook. • The first three bullet points came from CIA World Factbook, so the student placed the citation after that information. • The last few bullet points came from ABC-CLIO. • The information provided in the in-text citation is the first piece of information from the citation on the Works Cited Page.
Similar Example as Previous Slides But Same Article Used for Different Points • EXAMPLE 3 - Slide with more than 2 sources (w/no author) • In the below example, the student has used information found on ABC-CLIO, BBC.com and the CIA World Factbook. • The first bullet point came from the BBC and the second and third bullet points came from the BBC. • The second and third bullet points came from the CIA World Factbook. • The final three bullet points came from ABC-CLIO, so the citation only needs to be placed after the last piece of information.
Slide/Paragraph Only Using One Source • EXAMPLE 4 - Slide with only one source (w/author) • In the below example, the student has presented information from one article WITH an author. • Note the use of the author's name in the citation. • By giving the author, it is clear to the reader from which citation from the Works Cited Page the information came.
Slides/Paragraphs Using Multiple Sources with Authors • EXAMPLE 5 - Slide with more than one source (w/authors) • In the below example, the student has presented information from more than one article WITH DIFFERENT authors. • Note the use of the author's names in the citation. • Note the use of article titles due to the fact that both articles came from CNN.com.
