The Ideal Preceptor & Learner Development Reviews: (prior to learner arrival) clinical handbook and clinical objectives and assessment criteria rubric Orientation: facility, staff, hours of operation, policies and work area 1 2 Discusses with student: objectives, expectations and the assessment process. Asks student for thier agenda 3 Daily routines: morning topic of interest, case reviews, 10 min teaching moment 4 Weekly/biweekly debrief: highlighting good and areas for improvement. Action plan and student feedback. 5 Last day:complete the student assessment and provides feedback. 6 7 Post placement:provides program with feedback.
