  2. The Need • Approached by a mother with a child who is wetting the bed because they are scared of the dark and leaving their bed at night • Something to help the child get to bathroom at night • Doesn't waste power • Cheap • Doesn’t require much maintenance

  3. The Approach • Researched possible materials and designs to help child • Spoke to a mother of 3 older children who provided her expertise on the problem of bed wetting and ways to solve it- • Alow level light source to guide the child • Something for them to follow that they relate to • Something that doesn’t stand out during the day

  4. The Design • The first design we came up with was a lantern the child could carry to the toilet • The next design was strips on the floor to guide the child • We discussed different design option and decided on the foot print pattern.
