George “Tom” Sidley - 25 Years • Tom was born in Grove City, PA and moved to Orlando when he was 2 ½ years old. • He graduated from Colonial High School. • Tom earned a degree in Theology and Counseling from International Seminary. He’s also a graduate of the Law Enforcement Academy. • He was hired in 1985 as an Operator Trainee in Public Utilities.
Tom Sidley - 25 Years • After 2 years, Tom transferred to Facilities Management as a Trades Helper and was then promoted to Painter. • In 2001, he was tasked with assisting the new Security Section. He was promoted to Building Security Coordinator in 2002. • Tom is a graduate of the Orange County Supervisory Development Program. • He is married to Karen and he has a step-daughter: Leigh. They lost a step-son Randy in 2007. They also have 5 grand-children: Jordan, Emily, Wyatt, Gabriel and Madison. • In his spare time, Tom enjoys golf and spending time with his family. • He is an Orange County Reserve Deputy Sheriff and was recently promoted to Reserve Lieutenant. • Tom is a certified FDLE Firearms Instructor for the Sheriff’s Office. *
Marilyn Sharpe Lipsey - 20 Years • Marilyn was born in Daytona Beach and moved to Osceola County in 1992. • She graduated from UCF with a degree in Accounting. • Marilyn was hired in 1990 as a Correctional Officer in Booking. • She’s been promoted to Administrative Support Clerk, Administrative Clerk, Fiscal Coordinator and Administrative Assistant. • She has worked at the Medical Clinic, the Ryan White Program and the Health & Family Services Fiscal Office.
Marilyn Lipsey - 20 Years • Marilyn is currently with the Ryan White Planning Council Support Unit. • She assists with health fairs and special events. • Marilyn is married to Ed and has three children: Penny, James and Charlene along with seven grandchildren. • In her spare time, she enjoys quilting, cross-stitch, camping, biking, traveling, fishing and photography. Marilyn is also an avid reader. • She really enjoys her time with her grandchildren, and loves living life to the fullest. *
Jonathan R. Behr 20 Years • Jon was born in Queens, NY and moved to Central Florida in 1990. • He graduated from Miami Killian High and has attended Miami Dade, Valencia and Lake Sumter Community Colleges. • Jon was certified as a Paramedic in 1991. • He joined Orange County 1990 and has been assigned to many fire stations. • He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2000 and assigned to Station 42.
Jonathan Behr - 20 Years • Jon was promoted to Captain in 2007 and assigned to EMS-3 at Station 80. • In May 2009, he became Captain at Fleet Maintenance. • He has been married to Jeanie for 17 years, and they have two sons: Justus, 15, and Jerney, 10. • In his spare time, Jon enjoys any type of outdoor activity, including: Camping, hiking, motorcycle riding, four-wheel riding, paintball and bicycle riding. *
Danny C. Wambold 20 Years • Danny was born in Hollywood, FL and moved to Orlando when he was one. • He graduated from Colonial High School. • Danny completed his Fire Standards, EMT and Officer training. • He was integral in the establishment of the Fallen Firefighter Memorial located in front of Fire Rescue Headquarters.
Danny Wambold – 20 Years • Danny has been assigned to stations 51, 52, 54, 70 and he is now at Station 77. • He has been married to Betty for 26 years and they have two children: Brian and Robert. • In his spare time, Danny enjoys riding his motorcycle and hot rods. *
Anne H. Keller 25 Years • Anne was born in Nebraska and grew up in Kansas. • She graduated from the University of South Carolina and moved to Central Florida in 1979. • Anne received her Paramedic certification in 1984, and her Instructor certification in several life saving techniques. She is also a Notary Public. • Anne joined Orange County in 1985 after serving as a volunteer with the Ocoee Fire Department.
Anne Keller – 25 Years • Anne was promoted to Lieutenant in 1993 and then reassigned to the EMS unit. • There she was responsible for replacing all of the wooden patient backboards with plastic ones to better accommodate X-Rays. • Anne was responsible for a number of innovative and cutting edge technology changes at EMS. • She returned to the field in 2000 and is now at Station 29. • Anne has served on the state’s Matching Grant Committee.
Anne Keller – 25 Years • Anne has also worked with the Sheriff’s Office and became an Auxiliary Deputy riding on the Chase helicopter. • She helped the EMS Unit achieve accreditation. • Anne has been married to Kent for 14 years and they have two daughters: Sarah and Lacey; and two grandchildren. • In her spare time, she teaches for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission - “Wilderness First Aid”, and “Introduction to Wilderness Survival”. • Anne started her own babysitting education company. • She loves movies, horseback riding, and traveling. • After retirement, she will focus on Bible education work. *
Thiruvengadathan Madhanagopal 25 Years • Tim was born in Madurai, India, and moved to the US in 1978 and to Orange County in 1985 after working in Michigan for 7 years. • He has degrees in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology; Environmental Engineering from Wayne State University; and an MBA from UCF. • Tim is a certified Environmental Engineer with Water and Wastewater from the American Academy of Environmental Engineers.
Tim Madhanagopal – 25 Years • Tim joined Orange County in 1985 as a Staff Engineer at Utilities Engineering. He was promoted to Senior Engineer in 1989, and Acting Assistant Manager in 1996. He is currently the Utilities Section Manager. • Tim has earned numerous awards. To name a few: Engineer of the Year and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Institute of Professional Environmental Practice. • Tim has managed the Eastern Water Reclamation Facility since 1997. On his watch, the facility has been recognized for several excellence in engineering projects. • Tim helped rewrite the County’s Sewer Use Ordinance and led the effort to earn an EMS certification from the National Bio-solids Partnerships. Orange County is the only NBP certified program in Florida.
Tim Madhanagopal – 25 Years • Tim has been married to Jane for 29 years and they have two children: Harry, a third year medical student and officer in the Navy, and Hema, a Communications degree graduate. • Tim has served on the National Society of Professional Engineers Board of Directors and as President of Central Florida Engineers’ Week Inc. • He has chaired the Water Environment Federal Boy Scout Jamboree Committee, served as President of the Hindu Society of Central Florida and is on the UCF President’s Advisory Committee. • In his spare time, which he doesn’t have much of, Tim serves as the Vice Chair of the Semoran Springs District of the Central Florida Boy Scouts of America. *
