Warm Up Take out your storyboard. Put your first and last name and block on the BACK of your storyboard. Let's review the stages of this dance...(bear with me on the pictures)

  3. Chapter 24 - copy down the entire question! You are turning this in! 1. What does Cole note about being angry at the opening of the chapter? Pull the text to support your answer. 2. What is the lesson Cole learns regarding not being able to help the person he wronged? What does he correctly assume about Edwin and Garvey? 3. When Cole starts thinking about his return to Minneapolis, what is he most concerned about? Why is this unusual? 4. What surprising news does Edwin relay to Cole concerning Peter? What does Cole believe to be the answer to Peter's problems? Why does Cole think this is a good idea? Do you think that it will work? Why or why not. 5. What difficulty is Cole having with the bottom carving on his totem pole? What do YOU think he should carve? Explain your answer and then draw a picture of what YOU would carve if you were Cole.

I didn’t mean to hurt Peter!” Think back to his motivations at the time of the assault, Cole’s family history, and Cole’s reaction to Peter when he hears him speak for the first time since the assault at the Circle on page 40.
