  2. November 4, 2011 - Touching Spirit Bear - chapter 22 comprehension Homework None Lesson Essential Question How can I use textual evidence to analyze a story's plot? Warm Up Review chapters 20 and 21 from yesterday. What were the examples of symbolism we discussed and what did they represent?

  8. Chapter 22 1. Go back to chapter 21 and pull the text for when Edwin talks to Cole about being invisible. What does he mean by this? How does Cole make himself invisible, and why is he doing this? 2. Cole appears to have discovered why Spirit Bear came to visit him, and why the fish and beaver came so close to him. What do you think the reason is? 3. Go back to chapter 19 when Cole is in the pond and the fish comes near. Why does the fish leave? What connection can you make to the author's feelings about animals and what he is trying to say about them in the novel?
