UTS graduate RanganSrikhanta was one of a group of Australians who developed a local version of the One Laptop Per Child program in Australia (Logue., Edwards, 2013) ‘Students who don't own or can't afford a laptop, iPad or other digital devices could be disadvantaged at school, some teachers say, as the federally funded free laptop program comes to a close’ (McNeilage, 2013) Digital Divide in schools ‘The digital divide may well be closing, but what we need to focus on is building skills and capabilities, perhaps leveraged off internet access, to bridge the skills, work and education divide’ (Salt, 2013).
