TE PUNA SERVICESsharing cataloguing, interlibrary loan and search tools Benefits of being a member • Reduced costs • Reduced time and effort spent on original cataloguing as quality records are available for copying into members' own catalogues. • A fast and efficient interloan service, including a centralised billing system. • Greater return on investment, collections increasing visibility on the web • National brokering provides members with unlimited access to quality databases and services that may otherwise be unaffordable. • Satisfied clients • A single discovery system for New Zealand libraries’ collections makes finding and getting items quicker and easier. • Availability of enhanced metadata for individual libraries’ catalogues makes the discovery process more accurate. (Table of Contents for NZ publications etc) • Shared practise • Members can share advice on workflow practises and issues, formally and informally, online and in person. • Members can influence future direction of Te Puna services through the Te Puna Services Advisory Committee.
TE PUNA SERVICESsharing cataloguing, interlibrary loan and search tools Te Puna Pricing • The annual subscription, billed quarterly, covers: • Cataloguing and interlibrary loan technical infrastructure – “an all you can eat approach” • Cataloguing tools (CatClient, WebCat, ConneXion Client, OCLC Webform) • Cataloguing batch load processes • New holdings report • Daily synchronisation between WorldCat and the NZ NUC • National brokering of data services such as Library of Congress and OCLC • National Interlibrary Loan service • Interlibrary loan reports • Support (phone, email, service desk, face-to-face eg forums or workshops, documentation) • Optional extras with additional charge • Ad hoc reports coded • Additional data quality services such as database refresh or the Total Marc of Quality Osmosis service • Billing gateway for Interlibrary loan
