SAE Professional Development • Multiple Course Certificates • Package of 4-6 courses that must be completed (required & elective courses to choose from) • Online learning assessment created by the instructor for each course – need to receive a 70% or higher to pass. • Once completed, SAE awards a certificate • Ex.) SAE Professional Development • What will SAE PD do? • Up to $100 per attendee for a 1-day class (First 10, $50 each; 11th-15th attendee $75 each; 16th attendee & above $100 each) • Schedule/organize the seminar • Work with instructors • Promote the program via email • Provide a Marketing Toolkit for the Section to use to promote the program • Register attendees and collect seminar fees • Produce/ship seminar materials • Handle food and beverage arrangements • Cover the cost of instructor honorarium/travel expenses 2013 SECTON OFFICERS LEADERSHIP SEMINAR
SAE Professional Development • What is my Section Responsible for? • Designate a point-person to work with PD staff to coordinate the seminar • Designate a point-person to work with PD staff to coordinate the seminar • Identify a venue with a room for 20-30 participants • Provide AV equipment (LCD projector and screen) • Promote/market the event to local section members (at least 3 times) • Provide on-site support at the start of the program • At least 8 registrations 3 weeks in advance for the program to run • This won’t take a lot of time/effort on your part! 2013 SECTON OFFICERS LEADERSHIP SEMINAR
