The PBL Model Sources of Energy
1. Read and analyze the problem scenario. • We use and need a lot of energyEnergy crisis. • Energysources are runningout. • Oil • Goal • Solar Energy • Weneed to find new sources of energy.
2. List what is known. • Whatisenergy? “Energy: : It is what produces all the changes around us” • Sources of energy: “Sourcesfrom which energy can be obtained to provide heat, light and power”
3. Develop a problem statement. • Theenergysources are runningout. In thefuturewewillneed more amounts of it, what can we do? Where can wefindenergy?
4. List what is needed. • Social awareness • Schooleducation • A deeplyinvestigation • Sustainabledevelopment • Natural resources • Governmentinitiatives
5. List actions, solutions, or hypotheses. • Waste can have a second life. From reusing some of them to its transformation into fertilizer, fleeces or even slippers. Even animal flatulence could be reused as fuel, as just demonstrated at the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA) of Argentina. • "A cow emits about 300 liters of methane per day, which can be used to operate a fridge capacity of 100 liters at a temperature of between two and six degrees for a full day," says the agency told science news SINC Bualo Ricardo, one of the technicians involved in the project. And for that, you just have to collect it, store it and end up using it on the device you want.
Viewing the current electric car industry, we see a bright future in the use of these types of cars. • The use of renewable energies in transport foster the use of this type of energy in other areas of society.
6. Analyze information. • Analyzed the current problem of the exhaustion of existing energy sources must mobilize in the present. • To improve future generations searching sustainable alternatives in new energy sources.
7. Present findings. • As a personal experience, when I wentto India, I visited a poor place. • Theyused a differentinnovatingkind of methodto produce energy. • Theyputthree Kg of thecow’sfeaces in a holethatconnectsto a tubeand theycoverit. Withthepreasure and differentprocessthefeacesturnintomethane and produce electricity. • Itisaneconomicway of producingenergy. • Youonlyneedtwocows.
