Write the following definition: • Semicolons are most often used to separate two independent clauses/complete sentences that are related. Semicolons are also used to separate items in a list. 1. I plan to apply to Whitman College, my three best friends do too. 2. My friends are Janelle, who wants to major in biology, Max, who loves literature, and Cindy, who wants to major in computer science.
