Other journals are adding back content as well. • From January through September 2006, our publishers put over 1,600 new articles online, totaling over 22,000 pages. • 140+ institutions with paid subscriptions

  11. GSW Future Growth • For 2007, we plan to add at least 2 new journals, and potentially more. • More backfile will be added in 2007, including: • Journal of the Geological Society back to 1971 • Quarterly Journal of Engineering Geology and Hydrogeology, back to its first issue in 1967

  12. Pricing • We maintained our prices in 2005 and 2006. • We’ve announced a 5% increase for 2007. • Pricing for 2008 will probably be announced in mid-2007.

  38. Searching on GSW • Paid subscribers can search all of GeoRef and all of the full-text of GSW simultaneously. • This means you may find more hits for a term on GSW than you will using just versions of GeoRef on other platforms. • GSW’s version of GeoRef is updated weekly with both additions and corrections, which is more often than any other version.

  39. Non-Subscriber Searching • Searching without paid access yields results only from the journal content hosted on GSW • No full-text, no map search capability, and no GeoRef full-citations are shown

  47. The End "...the mission and goals of GeoScienceWorld are ambitious and commendable. The user interface is well-designed and the growing full-text collections are a huge leap forward in the dissemination and education of geoscientific research. The integration of the GeoRef database with the journal collections makes GSW an unusual resource when compared to information resources in other scientific disciplines. The inclusion of unique tools such as TopicMap is progressive. Couple the above attributes with its economical price and one finds it hard to find serious fault with GSW." – Richard Stringer-Hye, Vanderbilt University, writing in Charleston Advisor, May, 2006
