  2. Slate of products and services • Encorsed slate includes existing, new, and adapted products and services. • Case studies • Training Certificate program • Standards videos • Distributed content in coursework • Student Application Papers

Case studies • PROGRESS: • One case study completed (IEEE 515) • PPT presentation on same completed • Used on one outreach event (IIM-Bangalore) • 2012 GOALS: • Complete proposal to John Wiley and Sons for IEEE-Press Wiley textbook of standards case studies • Ancillary material to help professors use case studies also should be developed.

  4. Training Certificate program for academic professionals • PROGRESS: • Coordination with EA’s Eileen Fitzgerald • Planned coordination with SA’s Portfolio Management Committee • Proposal under development for the research suggested in UO Business Plan • 2012 GOALS: • Complete research on program, audience, cost, risks. • Take actions suggested by research.

  5. Standards videos • PROGRESS: • Agreement in principle between CNIS and SEC to create 2 basic standards education videos in 2012. • MOU and project timeline drafted and sent for review. • 2012 GOALS: • Creation and initial distribution of first 2 basic videos. • Preparation of list for full basic set (2 or 3 more). • Prep work for the second set, which will consist of interviews of technology experts working in standards.

  6. Distributed content in coursework • PROGRESS: • Coordinating with eLearning Library on establishing links from SEC website to related courses on theirs. • Coordinating with EA to develop Faculty Lounge web area for all material. • Working with consultant to evaluate content from outside vendor. • 2012 GOALS: • Complete creation of Faculty Lounge area and move existing material--such as the online case illustrations and tutorials, and SA’s recently completed Video Case Studies—to the area. • Continue our efforts on content for Senior Project courses • Create ancillary materials for professors • Research standards chapters project, finding best target texts.

  7. Student Application Papers • 2012 GOALS: • Research to understand historical progress of the Student Application Papers program and analyze methods for growing the program.
