ISS Program Documents • Payload Integration Agreement (PIA): • Documents joint agreements to manage and execute roles and responsibilities for ISS payload integration • Schedule - SSP 57113 AMS-02 PIA • 11/21/03 - ISS Program Manager did not disqualify any AMS-02 ISS requirements or Shuttle requirements – requested coordination with SSP • 6/11/04 - Evaluation request to Space Shuttle for SSCN 6999 • 6/24/04 - Shuttle agreed to early MIP baseline development • 6/25/04 - OZ agreed to early MIP baseline proposal with SSP • 7/8/04 - OC agreed to early assignment of a Launch Package Manager • ISS AMS-02 requirements communicated to Shuttle via MIP • Implements the existing formal ISS/Shuttle process • 10/6/04 - PCB for SSCN 6999 PIA approval ISS Interface Control Document (ICD): • Defines payload hardware and software interfaces with ISS. Details ISS/payload interface verification requirements. • 2/1/05 – PECP & 2/9/05 PCB for SSP 57213 AMS-02 Hardware ICD approval

Shuttle Program Documents • Mission Integration Plan (MIP): • Documents joint agreements between the ISS Program and SSP to define and execute the launch package integration requirements • Only formal mechanism for Shuttle to review and approve requirements that the ISS Program is levying on Shuttle • Schedule - • 6/24/04 - Shuttle agreed to early MIP baseline development • Mission unique MIP encompasses all requirements and constraints pertinent to the Launch Package and/or Return Complement on this flight • Implements the existing formal Shuttle process to work payload requirements and the Orbiter-to-AMS-02 ICD • Nominal MIP template: ISS submittal L-21.5 months; Shuttle baseline L-16 months • 8/10/04 - AMS-02 MIP kickoff meeting • 2/22/05 - SSP Flight Operations Integration Control Board for MIP approval Shuttle Interface Control Document (ICD): • Defines payload hardware and software interfaces with Orbiter • 5/17/05 – SSP approval of AMS-02 Hardware and Software ICD
