The AAA provided relief to wheat farmers, cattle ranchers and dairy farmers. • Companies received government contracts through the NRA. Also, new unions formed. • The CCC built roads, hospitals, bridges, schools and parks. They also helped create our state’s national parks by building campgrounds, trails and recreational facilities. • The PWA constructed the Grand Coulee Dam, finished in 1942.
